I just tried out mouse and keyboard once again, to see if it has improved since the last time. And it did, things are much, much smoother now, and I am acclimatising to use M/K once again after years of getting used to controllers. However, there are still two issues that bug me: 1. (and its the biggest) The ADS turning speed is far, far too low, I suggest adding a separate slider for it. 2.The mouse sometimes locks up for half a second when I do swift movements. Its not too big of an issue as it isn't common, but it happens and I lost some firefights to it. 3.Can you please replace the "press *Square/circle/whatever* to do this" with the actual key it represents on the keyboard? 4.Control scheme customization, nuff said. 5.When you detect a M/K plugged in, change the UI to something more like EVE and add a mouse pointer. |

I''ve played KB / M since it was introduced... while I agree that the UI needs to have KB keys as well as the Controller buttons up, the feel of KB / M has improved a lot. A HIgh DPI mouse is a requirement... best off with one with a Snipe Button for on the fly DPI change. (I use a Logitech Gaming Mouse). The mouse 'freeze' as you put it is to prevent the KB/M Dominating the Controllers with their ability for swift movements. Keep your movements smooth and swift, but don't quickly 'twitch' and your controls will never freeze on you. Control scheme customization is a required thing, I will completely agree... Right, forgot about Easter. I'm from Israel so I wouldn't know lol |

Right, forgot about Easter. I'm from Israel so I wouldn't know lol Why do I need an expensive mouse to do the thing that other shooters do from the get go? I never had problems with how M/K feels in any game with the budget of Dust 514. If they can't get it right, give us a separate slider for it. The freeze is a really bad idea to limit us. There has to be a better way than just stopping the mouse movement for no good reason. They had a 'limit' on actual movement speed at one stage... Where no matter how fast you moved your mouse, the suit would only turn at a set rate... I didn't mind it much, but a lot of people did. The HIGH DPI Mouse is to allow grater customization in your sliders. The higher the DPI, the greater range of control you are able to achieve. Still, if CCP really wants M/K then they should stop limiting it. Else just remove the option. |

MASS DR1V3R wrote:I tried kb/m for the first time yesterday. What I couldn't get over was the way you stop moving if you stop sprinting or strafing. If you're hitting W and then hit left shift to sprint but then let go of left shift to stop sprinting but are still hitting W, you just stop in your tracks completely. You should keep moving forward but just stop sprinting. So you have to release W and then repress it to get going again. Hope that makes sense. The same thing happens when strafing. If you're moving forward with W then hit A to strafe left, you have to release both buttons and repress W to get going again. If you're hitting W, you should always be moving forward. You should never have to release then button and press it again just to keep going. I'm used to games where shift starts the sprint, but if you release shift it doesn't stop it. So I'm used to pressing S and then W quickly, and it happens subconsciously, so this isn't a problem for me. However, I do see why it would be annoying, so yeah, CCP should fix that. |
